The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC-PR) recognized CIC’s president and founder, Gustavo A. Hermida, with the prestigious and highest award in the industry, the Alejandro S. Herrero Award.

“Gustavo Hermida has the great quality of seeing situations not only for what they are but for the infinite possibilities they represent.” – said engineer Neyssa Varela, president of the committee in charge of the appointment of the award.

The Association of General Contractors of America, Puerto Rico Chapter (AGC-PR), instituted the Alejandro S. Herrero Award in the year 1973 to honor the memory of the engineer Alejandro S. Herrero, founding partner of AGC-PR. The award, which is awarded annually during the AGC-PR Annual Convention, is the highest distinction in the industry. It honors the legacy of a great man, professional, and friend, and it recognizes the footprint of those general contractors who, like Herrero, live committed to the industry and Puerto Rico.
