Entry Level Project Estimator

Our established full-service construction company is growing its clientele, and we have an excellent opportunity for an Entry-Level Project Estimator to join our In-house Estimating Department. This entry level position works under close supervision, performing the routine aspects of estimating assignments requiring knowledge of basic principles of estimating. 

The ideal candidate will know about construction project management, be organized, highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and driven. This opportunity is the perfect one to build a career at a leading construction company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
  • Review and evaluate cost estimates
  • Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Understand scope of work to bid
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
  • Prepare cost analysis
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of SAGE Estimating Software is a PLUS
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Fully fluent in English and Spanish

Environmental, Health and Safety Director

Safety Director Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing CIC EHS Policy
  • Support Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to compliance with EHS rules
  • Perform routine and documented EHS inspections
  • Manage company EHS Team
  • Support estimating Department during the bid process
  • Conduct training for CIC employees’ levels and contractors
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining all EHS recordkeeping
  • Responsible for conducting and managing incident and accident investigation
  • Oversight of the Safety Officer execution
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining EHS statistics and providing recommendation
  • Produce regular summary reports and analyses on environmental, health & safety activities, performance measurement, and results as directed by the Company President.
  • Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health, and safety performance through all levels of the organization. Assure compliance with internal and external requirements.

Safety Director Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, safety management, environmental safety, or a similar field.
  • At least 10 years of safety experience in the Manufacturing, Commercial and Pharmaceutical construction field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a developed competency to influence others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be an effective listener.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams including knowledge of basic facilitation techniques.
  • Fully fluent in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a clear ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects.
  • OSHA 500 hrs., First Aid & CPR training
