Estimator (Cary, NC)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain a strong network of local subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate project bidding opportunities through the “Go-No-Go” exercise.
  • Manage daily project estimating and bidding objectives.
  • Utilize bid data to prepare comprehensive and detailed cost analyses.
  • Accurately compile and record actual project costs.
  • Engage in meetings with both potential and current clients to foster and nurture trusting relationships.
  • Delegate project bidding tasks to the office support staff
  • Coordinate market studies and contribute to annual business planning initiatives.
  • Participate in face-to-face client interviews.
  • Attending regional outreach expos to engage with clients and professional associations.
  • Help in the submittal processes to the appropriate client/owner’s design team member.
  • Regularly update the CIC project team on the weekly project opportunities reporting
  • Capture lessons learned.
  • Attend monthly job site walks as necessary. 
  • Lead the turnover meeting once awarded project to transfer information to the operations team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience in commercial construction.
  • Knowledgeable in using on-screen takeoff, Sage, and Procore software to manage the work.
  • Proficient in using PowerPoint and Primavera scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with Touch Plan or similar scheduling tasking software
  • Ability to create effective project planning and critical path activities.
  • Adept in utilizing computers and software programs.
  • Basic written and oral communication skills, characterized by meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Demonstrated aptitude for multi-tasking, combined with comfortability in collaborating with diverse project teams, fostering inclusivity and teamwork.

Project Controls Manager (Cary, NC)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize cost estimating data/systems to prepare comprehensive project accounting reports.
  • Monitor and report on critical path and schedule performance of the entire project.
  • Conduct thorough project schedule analysis and provide advice on areas of concern of challenges.
  •  Verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and maintain consistency.
  • Recommend alternative resources and assess the associated costs required for project recovery.
  • Manage the drafting of subcontractor contracts and oversee pay applications.
  • Provide support to the Project Manager in organizing and updating files in Procore, including regular updates to Requests for Information (RFI), Submittals, and Change Orders.
  • Compile and accurately record actual project costs on a weekly basis and monthly billing statements for clients.
  • Engage in meetings with both potential and current clients to establish and nurture trusting relationships.
  • Participate in face-to-face client interviews and conduct jobsite cost analysis reviews.
  • Attend regional outreach expos to engage with clients and professional associations.
  • Oversee the completion of project closeout documentation.
  • Support the need for weekly reporting on Davis/Bacon Wages and compliance with LEED requirement.
  • Create a template for capturing lessons learned, incorporating profit and loss analysis during project closeout, in collaboration with the project team.
  • Attend monthly job site walks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in the commercial construction industry.  
  • Proficiency in utilizing Sage/Timberline, PowerPoint, and Primavera processor applications, highlining expertise in these software tools.
  • Familiarity with Touch Plan or similar scheduling tasking software.
  • Adeptness in utilizing computers and software programs commonly employed in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.

Construction EHS Director (Puerto Rico)

About the job

Manage and oversees the safety strategies and practices implemented to ensure that every worker stays safe while on the job. In this role, the Safety Director will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, evaluating risks and implementing protocols to prevent accidents. They'll also work closely with management and employees to ensure that everyone is informed, trained and committed to following all policies and procedures driving awareness and accountability for environmental, health and safety performance through all levels of the organization.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement safety programs and policies on construction sites.
  • Identify potential hazards and risks and develop plans to mitigate them.
  • Train and educate employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Investigate and report workplace accidents or incidents and develop plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety measures are properly implemented and maintained.
  • Maintain records and documentation of safety programs, training, inspections, and incidents.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and assist with inspections and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on safety management.
  • Knowledgeable about OSHA regulations, construction codes, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards is crucial.
  • Professional certifications, such as the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a Plus.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
